Senior graduate students and postdocs, please join us for a Future Faculty poster session! We are organizing this event to offer a unique opportunity for trainees preparing for the academic job market to interact with faculty members attending SB3C, including past or future search committee members and department chairs. This poster session is an ideal time to practice the presentation of a cohesive research record and compelling research plans for the future, while also highlighting your experiences and plans in the areas of funding, teaching, and service.
This event will be held on Wednesday, June 12th from 5:15-6:15PM.
To apply, please submit a CV and a statement outlining your future research vision and how your past experiences have prepared you to make an impact in this area (2 pages maximum). Space may be limited; for primary consideration please apply by April 15th. Eligibility is restricted to graduate students and postdocs who are no more than two years away from applying for faculty jobs.
In the event that there are more applications than can be accommodated, we will prioritize applicants based on their proximity to the stage of applying for faculty jobs. Please note that decisions on applications to the poster session are independent of any other abstracts submitted; selection for this poster session will not assist or jeopardize any other abstracts you have submitted.
